“Air Force” was originally a CrossFit Games Midwestern Sectional workout from 2010. It was first posted on the Games website, announced as the first event for the competition starting Saturday, February 13, 2010.
“Top Gun” January 15, 2011, at the Rogue Fitness “Barbell Club” in Columbus, Ohio, 2010 CrossFit Games Champion Graham Holmberg and Dave Ulmer took on a new benchmark workout called “Top Gun.” Graham created it base on a 2009 CrossFit Games Sectional workout, “Air Force,” which is the same except for the weight of the barbell.
We started the week with a WOD that challenges us to “beat the clock.” We are ending the week the same way. For this WOD, try to get as much done within each minute before you have to do your burpees. The “Air Force” vs “Top Gun” decision will be handled on a case by case basis with your Coach.
