I Look Forward To Working Out

My name is Donna Ehnert.  I began CrossFit in 2015, after spending a few years going to the gym regularly. I thought I was in shape—boy, was I WRONG! However, after the first class, I was hooked, and began going to CrossFit 3-5 times a week from that day forward. After becoming a CrossFit addict, I was diagnosed with melanoma, and learned that I needed several surgeries to become cancer-free. To make matters worse, I required several hand surgeries in that time, as well. I was worried that after all of these surgeries I would be unable to keep up—however, the coaches were amazing with modifying my workouts, and have been so patient and helpful. In fact, no matter how broken or discouraged I felt, the entire CrossFit gym was nothing but kind and supportive. After my cancer diagnosis, I felt terrible, and very depressed—CrossFit 970 and the friends I made there, helped change my outlook on the future. My body grew stronger, and soon, my mind and spirit did, too. Because of CrossFit 970, and the family I met there, I truly look forward to working out, and my life has been changed for the better.
